Juan Manuel Ramírez
Bio
Juan Manuel Ramírez is a plastic artist graduated from the National University of Colombia (2002). His plastic proposal explores drawing in all its technical and conceptual possibilities. He has exhibited his work in different galleries and museums in Colombia. As a complement to his practice, he works as an illustrator and teacher.
Statement
I am an artist and I dedicate my work to researching and developing plastic projects in drawing. My job is to think and make drawings in all their possible technical and conceptual manifestations. I think that drawing is an artistic manifestation as expressive and complete as painting, sculpture and performance. Since I began to dedicate myself exclusively to drawing, I have worked understanding more and more that drawing is a form of study and I propose that study itself as a work.
