Fanny Sanín
Bio
Fanny Sanín Sader (1938) is a Colombian artist from Bogotá who lives in New York City. She is known for her paintings of abstract geometric shapes and colors. He received an Honoris Causa of Master of Arts from the University of Antioquia in February, 2015. In 1960, he graduated with a Master of Fine arts from the University of Los Andes. He continued his studies in the areas of printmaking and graphic design and art history at the University of Illinois.
Statement
“The great formal richness of his works becomes surprising, where none of his pieces is repeated. He studies geometric shapes using a two-dimensional technique from painting and drawing, but through an essentially spatial rationality.
