Bio

I was born in 1961, in Havana. Since 1993 I live at Rio de Janeiro (Brazilian citizen in 1996). I come from a technological/artistic cradle, which guided my professional life. I studied some languages and music, and I have a PhD in Physics since 1997. Since I was a child I was attracted to drawing in general. In 2013 I began to work in visual arts, first as self-taught and later with several courses in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. I have participated in more than 50 exhibitions since then.

Statement

All my artistic work is motivated by the works of artists that I admire, which suffer touches of originality and new nuances in my hands. Since 2015 I have been creating painting codes that received the name “Papa’s codes of loves” for their potentialities beyond the visual arts. In 2017 I created a painting instrument that, roughly, is a spherographic with a sphere of a few centimeters. A moderate use of computing has also entered my works.
