Statement
Maite Izquierdo has 20 years of experience where she has been outlining a language that links contemporary textiles with existential experience. It treasures materials with history to then rework bodies that house spaces. It rescues vestiges, perceiving the textile as a second skin. His work shows the chromatic gesture of the material, revealing the creative moment as an intimate and transformative ritual that has required expansion, thanks to collaborative work, generating monumental installations.
