Prima Galería is the result of a private collection specialized in Roberto Matta that decides to go public in 2014, with the aim of openly sharing the contribution of the Chilean artist to contemporary painting. Since then, they have focused their attention on the Chilean and Latin American avant-garde, at the same time betting on new artists and languages, becoming a space for the production and promotion of Chilean cultural heritage, especially, of the realistic, impressionist, geometric and kinetic currents. Since 2015, the promotion of emerging and contemporary artists has been integrated into the work; such as the photographer Tomás Munita, the sculptor Ricardo Herrera, the hyper-realistic painter Mario Caamaño, the kinetic artist Mario Morales, among others.
