Statement
In these last works, the artist opens a microscopic zoom into a world of apparently simple figures. By choosing the colors by contrast, Kalbermatter creates color fields as resting areas to which he opposes a weft that unravels throughout the painting generating forces in constant movement and unstable figures. Each painting is a sequence with its rhythms, convulsions and vibrations that conducts silently into estrangement.
