Pablo Siquier
Bio
Pablo Siquier was born in 1961 in Buenos Aires. He is one of the most important artists from the 80's decade.
He has studied at Prilidiano Pueyrredon Superior Bellas Artes School and also at Pablo Bobbio’s and Araceli Vázquez’s studios. He has participated in Grupo de la X with which he exhibited in 1987.
His artwork is inspired by geometrical art. It is monumental but minimalist as well, created by black lines on white background.
He has been part of solo exhibitions at Bellas Artes Museum of Buenos Aires, Reina Sofía Museum of Madrid and Pedro de Osma Museum in Lima, among others. He represented his country at San Pablo’s and La Habana’s bienales.
He is part of public and private collections in Brazil, France, Spain, United States, Peru, Chile and Argentina. He also has a long teaching career and he has received different awards.
