Liliana Porter

Bio

Liliana porter was born in 1941, in Buenos Aires. She is one of the most emblematic conceptual artists in her country.
Through her prints, drawings, pictures, videos, installations, plays and public art, she investigates the representation, time and the relationship between what we call reality.
Her artwork is easily recognizable because of the mixture of humor, anguish, banality and sense.
She has lived in New York since 1964. Her artwork has been exhibited in more than 35 countries, and she has also participated in more than 450 collective exhibitions.
Her artwork is part of Tate Modern, Whitney Museum of American Art, Bellas Artes Museum of Buenos Aires, Filadelfia Art Museum, Bellas Artes Museum of Santiago, Museum of Modern Art Museum of Bogota, Metropolitan Museum, Smithsonian American Art Museum and Reina Sofía Museum collections.
