Artespacio was founded in 1995. Its directors, María Elena Comandari and Rosita Lira, have led the Chilean cultural scene for twenty-six years.
Their experience has allowed them to develop more than 400 samples and projects in Chile and abroad. Its objective has been the dissemination, promotion and commercialization of contemporary artists, encouraging collecting and the circulation of art, nationally and internationally.
Its annual programming includes individual and group exhibitions, symposia, talks and mediations. Its Artespacio Joven contest has become one of the most important promotion platforms for new talents in the country.
