Statement

My work has its origins in the home. My interests lie in the resignification of simple objects —like the ones you might find in your home’s sewing kit— because they are loaded with memories able to transport you into the intimacy of daily life. I gather objects such as safety pins, sewing needles, measuring tapes and scissors one by one, weaving a new fabric from them. These traditional materials harbor a new meaning by working with them in their accumulation and excess, where its importance transcends the object’s materiality in the aim to —by their cluster— weave something anew.
