Statement
Pabón, an architect by training, has developed a work that combines his interest between sculpture, philosophy and architecture. In his recent work, he explores the relationship between the materiality of architecture and the tradition of geometric abstract painting. The artist intervenes blocks of clay used in the construction of houses with ceramic enamel. The resulting color merges with the building material, reexamining a long relationship between the color plane, matter and space.
