Statement

By examining the subject-object relationship, Castillo fosters exchanges of very diverse spectra. LÍMITE photo collages recompose NASA images of Mars exploration, matching conspiracy theories about scientific material with the post-pictorial hard edge. Susie, an assemblage, part of the tension between hedonism and functionality, where furniture and "mid-century" cinema intersect to produce choral stories that play with the separation between the useful and the decorative.
