Beatriz Trepat
1965, Rosario, Argentina
Training in printmaking and ceramics,
Provincial School of Visual Arts and National University of Rosario
Lives and works in Paris, France.
In Rosario, she studied at the Provincial School of Visual Arts, graduating from the Magisterium in 1986; she continued her training in the workshops of Carlos Cantore and Dante Alberro. In Paris, the city where she settled in the late eighties, she specialized in high-temperature enamels in Helena Klug's workshop. With an intense teaching and artistic activity, she has participated in numerous exhibitions and events. Highlights from recent years include: Ceramic 14, Paris; Contemporary Stoneware, Saint Amand, Puisaye; Ceramics Days at Saint Sulpice, Paris (2011); Keramikos Ceramic Festival, Bracciano, Italy; Andenne Biennial, Belgium (2010); Terramicales Festival, Paris; Multiplex International Ceramic Festival, Varazdin, Croatia (2009); Biennial of Contemporary Ceramics, Sèvres (2008); Carouge Biennial, Switzerland; Terres Mêlées, Le Lavoir, Clamart (2007); Biennial of Contemporary Ceramics, Troyes (2005). Her work is part of the public collections of the Mandet Museum, Riom, France, and the Museum of Ceramics, Varazdin, Croatia.
