Rubem Valentim (1922-1991) Was included in important exhibitions throughout the subsequent decades. He participated in Tradição e Ruptura organized by the São Paulo Biennial Foundation, as well as Modernitè: art brèsilien du 20ème siècle at the MAM-Paris and the MAM-SP. CCBB, in Rio, mounted in 1994 the first retrospective of Valentim´s oeuvre. Also, in 1994, he was included in the Bienal Brasil Século XX.He was invited to the 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th, 14th, and 21st São Paulo biennials.
