Maria Amélia Raeder
Bio
Artist, with a degree in architecture and a postgraduate degree in Art and Philosophy in Brazil. She studied at The Art Institute of Houston and at The Glassell School of Art. Her work has been exhibited in several cultural institutions and art galleries.
Statement
Her research explores how the oversaturation of images affects us all, especially those published in the media. Her interventions create gaps, challenge the viewer's perceptions, inviting them to question the narratives that are imposed on us on a daily basis.
