Bio

Triana has received numerous honors, including the Civitella Ranieri Fellowship (worldwide), as well as commissions, residencies and grants from the Kronos Quartet, Oolite Arts (USA), Coincidence/ProHelvetia (Switzerland), L'Institut International de Musique Électroacoustique de Bourges (France). His pieces have been presented around the world in spaces such as NÉMO-Biennial of Electronic Arts in Paris (France), ISEA-International Symposium of Electronic Arts (Manizales, Colombia), and Casa Hoffmann.

Statement

Alba Triana's artistic practice focuses on exploring the primordial intelligence of nature. Her works, which are musically conceived and include interactive installations, resonant spaces, sound and light sculptures, and vibrational objects, are hybrids and cross the boundaries of a diverse set of disciplines. Artburst magazine describes her as a "sound sculptor who explores the interface between the natural sciences and music," who "combines rigor and poetic finesse.
