Statement
The observation of the varied facets, both joyful and dramatic, naive and ironic that manifest in the existential issues of human beings is the primary source of inspiration in the creation of these small sculptures.
I am interested in highlighting aspects that we generally keep to ourselves (fears, insecurities, vulnerabilities, permeabilities), “satirizing” physical attitudes and/or psychological components that often surface in our aspirations to reach what seems distant or unattainable, to carry out actions that are –seemingly- difficult, or simply to make ourselves understood.
Scale distortions compared to reality, as well as positions of instability, often challenging physics, create a field in which the viewer can look upon himself, think of himself (and others) onto the reflection of the absurd, the impossible, or simply human.
