Statement
Néstor sees the world as a succession of different-sized stages, where, instead of just being there, objects present themselves, weigh, rest on some surface and have much to tell us. Art making is thus a narrative exercise of direction: the stages are recreated or intervened and objects are carefully placed one beside the other in order to generate new associations and relations. The results are paintings, installations, performances and poems which move between the abstract and the figurative, as if that difference did not exist, in a coming and going between meaning and meaninglessness, driven by an inevitable intuition.
Additional information
