Statement

If my body was a territory, would I be the ruler? How can I acknowledge the body’s boundaries? If I draw a map of the body, would I follow its biological structure or could I also map emotions, memories and psyche?
At what point do bodies have a gender? When do they stop having it? What does it mean to have a gender?
I often ask myself these questions while I am working. They provide me a fertile ground to transform my art making into an esthetical-political action that hovers in the realm of imagination.
