Statement
Renowned for his paintings. Luis uses references from the history of art, such as Bosch, Delacroix, Dürer and François de Goya, to juxtapose Goyaesque elements with the buffoonish, macabre, joyful and crazy elements of the Colombian reality. Resulting in an alchemy of mediums and techniques in his work. His work is part of important institutional and private collections in Latin America and Germany. He has exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bogotá (Mambo), Luis Ángel Arango Library, Museum of Modern Art in Bucaramanga, National Museum of Art in Beijing, China, National Library of Seoul, Korea, Spring Garden Center in Hong Kong, among others.
