Isabel Muñoz

Bio

Isabel Muñoz stands out among the diversity of proposals on the contemporary Spanish photographic scene, betting on platinotype and large format to reinforce her discourse: her passion for the body as a way of approaching the study of the human being. His work appears in important collections: Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid; Photo Colectania, Barcelona; Canal Foundation, Madrid; Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris; New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York; Rotschild Collection,….

Statement

In Miami we present the work that Isabel Muñoz (Spain, 1951) has done in Japan as a denouncement of the pollution that affects our oceans with the massive dumping of plastics and other waste. He also speaks out on climatic change in his project “Under the ice”. She tries to break, thus, with the icons and with a certain idea of beauty, in a global search, that of the human being, but also that of a territory, the world.
