Natacha Tellez

Bio

1968, Buenos Aires. Argentina
Tellez has a degree in Visual Arts from the National University of the Arts. She studied taking art courses with artists of her admiration. She exhibited her artworks in Argentina, Spain and Portugal. In 2001, got the Mention award at the National Salon of Visual Arts in sculpture, a salon in which she was also selected in 2002 and 2016. In 2019, was selected at the UADE Salon. This year, she presented a single show in Microferia and exhibited in PopUp at CRUDO.

Statement

Through the investigation of materials and the assembly of various pieces, she builds compositions that dialogue with architecture. In her artworks, she appeals to the characteristics of each material: weight, hardness, malleability, elasticity, resistance, color, temperature and texture, to evoke real or imaginary physical actions in the creation of scenes of suspension, fixation or absence.
