Luis Arroyo

Bio

He was born in Caracas in 1973. Among his individual exhibitions, the following stand out: “Manifesto from the outside” and “Translations”, in Carmen Araujo Arte (Caracas) and “Pantone 19-0512 TC”, in Al Borde (Maracaibo). He has participated in group shows and international fairs held in various spaces in Latin America and Europe.

Statement

LUIS ARROYO has developed a personal imaginary in which certain questions of a spiritual or existential order, associated with art, and especially with painting as a human language, are presented as metaphors that allude to mental illness, military culture, political-ideological power, the animal as the exteriority of human culture, among others.
