Pablo Lincura
Bio
Pablo Lincura (Chile, 1987) graduated in Arts with a mention in Painting from the University of Chile. After finishing his undergraduate studies, he entered a postgraduate degree in the History of Chinese Art, which led him to travel to China and then settle in the Asian giant for 8 years. He has dedicated himself to oil painting of human figures and other subjects, using bright and vivid colors, false perspectives, and decorative elements. It uses symbols from pop culture, sometimes taking some aspects of Latin American aesthetics, or other cultures, trying to achieve a feeling of exoticism, while making visual reflections on the relationship between gender, sexuality, marginality and beauty.

Compositions with false perspectives and decorative elements stand out in his work, appropriating symbols from pop culture and sometimes taking some aspects of Latin American aesthetics.
In his recent production, concepts such as racialized bodies, third world, non-Western cultures and exoticism stand out.
“I try to make some visual reflections on the relationships between gender, sexuality, marginality, beauty, life and passion, using direct language, aimed mainly at the senses.”
