Statement

My work revolves around the intertwining of time, space, and movement, and is the result of my ongoing research into the processes of perception. Folding, layering, the illusion of transparency, the simulation of three-dimensional form on a flat surface, displacement, rotation-these are physical and psychological properties and phenomena that metaphorically represent an immaterial fact or event that manifests and can be perceived through the senses, forming the foundation of my abstract painting practice.
Multiple shapes and planes, corners, lines, and spaces that perpetually repeat, shift, transform, fragment, and recombine, pointing to a notion of constant change versus continuity, of interdependence and reciprocity. It is about feeling space and perceiving time; the collapse of here and there, of now and then.
In the process, the idea of an incessant vibration or flow and a dynamic and relative vision develops, highlighting the impossibility of establishing a single and absolute point of view; thus provoking observation and encouraging the adoption of a potentially new way of seeing.
