Eduardo Stupía, born in Vicente López in 1951, is a prominent Argentine artist known primarily for his work in drawing and painting. His work is characterized by the free use of lines, shadows, and textures, creating compositions that blur the boundaries between drawing and painting. Over the course of his career, Stupía has experimented with various techniques, developing a practice that moves away from realism, instead seeking to create works that capture dynamism and emotional intensity.
Stupía has held exhibitions in important museums such as the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires and the Museo de Arte Moderno in Buenos Aires. He has also been recognized with various awards, including the Konex Award in 2012. Additionally, Stupía has worked as an artistic director and art critic, and is a prolific writer on contemporary art. In 2012, he presented a major retrospective at the São Paulo Biennial, further cementing his international reputation.
