Jesús Rafael Soto

Rafael Martínez is a painter and sculptor. Born in Venezuela in 1940. He began his studies at the Rafael Monasterios Maracay and Arturo Michelena art school in Valencia. In 1968 he continued his studies at the experimental University of Vincennes in Paris as an assistant to the artist Jesús Soto and Carlos Cruz-Diez. His work is constructivist in rigor, with a geometric language that allows the freedom of spatial geometry, an element that transforms, that is modified with light, with color.
