Eduardo Rodriguez

His work is part of the stream of Argentine kinetic art. At the end of the 1960s, Rodríguez began studying motion, light, time and perceptual phenomena. He works together with Julio Le Parc and other pioneering artists in the experimentation of kinetism in Argentina. In 1970, he obtained the Grand Prize of Honor in the First Visual Investigation Competition. Thanks to a grant from the National Fund for the Arts, he studies in Paris.
Rodríguez explores the aesthetic perception of movement, from experimentation with shapes and colors through the manipulation of materials such as acrylics, celluloids and papers.

Su obra se inscribe en la corriente de arte cinético argentino. A finales de los ’60, Rodríguez se inicia en el estudio del movimiento, la luz, el tiempo y los fenómenos perceptivos. Trabaja junto con Julio Le Parc y otros artistas pioneros en la experimentación del cinetismo en la Argentina. En 1970, obtiene el Gran Premio de Honor en el I Certamen de Investigaciones Visuales. Gracias a una beca del Fondo Nacional de las Artes, estudia en París.
Rodríguez explora la percepción estética del movimiento, a partir de la experimentación con las formas y los colores mediante la manipulación de materiales como acrílicos, celuloides y papeles.
