Statement

For the artist Jurgens Portillo, immediate reality is crossed by his pictorial interests and by his need to adapt the spaces he inhabits to the canvas. Portillo is interested in texture, color, light and pictorial form. The drawing is contained in his painting, he considers that both techniques are a sensitive medium that allows him to generate other readings of everyday scenes and objects.
