Statement
In the Dialogue series, my works address the relationship between memory processes and lived events. Records of the memory of everyday life are translated into cut and distorted images that bring back memories, over and over again.
Each work is a "capture" of an instant of a constant process. It happens in memory, continuously. Construction and reconstruction, every day, during wakefulness and sleep.
There is repetition and synthesis, and both operate as assimilating and purifying agents.
Color planes, abstract fragments, symbols and signs are arranged like pieces of a puzzle. The combination of languages feeds on the variety of everyday stimuli. The figures are flattening each other, as memory does with what has been lived.
