Ana Zorraquin
Bio
She studied Philosophy at the School of Philosophy and Literature of the University of Buenos Aires
(UBA) Her photography training began at the Instituto Raota. She participated in various artwork clinics, including the ones of Miguel Zurraco and contemporary photographer Vivian Galban. She made editing workshops with Julieta Escardo; she trained in lighting at Escuela Aloha with Bob Lightowler and attended Sandra Siviero's ancient development techniques workshops.
She is part of the staff of Galería Imaginario, with which she attends different national and
international fairs: BAPhoto, Argentina (2019; 2018; 2017; 2016); LIMA Photo, Peru (2019; 2018; 2017; 2016; 2015); Tokyo International Fair, Japan (2017); Art on Paper New York, USA (2017); FIFV Collective Jauría, Chile (2015).She was selected in the call for World Cyanotype Day, where she was part of two exhibitions: La Fragua Galeria de Arte, Buenos Aires(2017) and Espacio Ecléctico, Buenos Aires (2016). In turn, she participated in collective shows at Ftalo Galería, Buenos Aires (2018); Espacio Modos, Buenos Aires (2017); Jungle Cultural Habitat, Buenos Aires (2016); among others. She currently lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Statement
If tomorrow is done today and today is past, I wonder, when does this temporal sequence of events begin? Everything could happen at the same time but in this earthly dimension we can only capture this instant. I use old photos, new photos approved in a present time open up the question of the existence of time. Stories II is a set of works where each line is a sentence and each work is a word.
