León Ferrari (Buenos Aires, September 3, 1920 - ibid, July 25, 2013) was an Argentine plastic artist. Much of his work is aimed at denouncing the abuses of power and intolerance in society. According to The New York Times, he was at the time of his death one of the five most provocative and important visual artists in the world. his work is based on a harsh criticism of wars, religion and all forms of intolerance.
