Bio
Florencia de Palleja, young emerging Uruguayan artist, with wide projection, Lic. In Visual Communication Design. Her work is developed in drawings, paintings and engravings. She has held exhibitions within Uruguay and outside the country in Costa Rica, at the Calderón Guardia Museum. She has just received an honorable mention at the II Bienal de Colonia 2020, with an engraving.
Statement
Florencia de Palleja's work deals with everyday objects that tell a story, taken out of their usual context. She began with what he had within reach, with objects such as chairs, mirrors, jars, doors, among others. With the idea that objects persist over time, reinventing themselves and generating new stories. They contain, retain and accompany, speak of the human being without it appearing.
