Gersony Silva
Bio
Gersony Silva's body of work comprises sensitive and feminine aspects, offering space for reflecting, rejoining and reconnecting. Body and soul joined by sacredness of place. She currently works as an art therapist for children and adolescents, as a rehabilitating art for special children, and works as a visual artist participating in several collective and individual exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, working with painting, objects, installations, performance and new media research.
Statement
I was born from a family of artists. My artistic training started in high school, when I attended a technical college of Communication Design. I then joined the Fine Arts School of São Paulo in the Plastic Arts course and started a career based on research to prove how through drawing the child communicates his deepest feelings that through words escapes us.
