Irene Gelfman is the Global Curator of Pinta Art.
She is also in charge of directing the special projects that seek to continue expanding Latin American art, promote the presence of contemporary Latin American art both in the local and international circuit; with the ultimate goal of giving visibility to emerging and established Latin American artists.
Giuliana Vidarte is the curator of the NEXT section at Pinta Miami, where she showcases 10 emerging galleries of significance within the region's contemporary art scene. Additionally, she curates the FORO section, a series of talks focusing on collecting, book presentations, and various current issues in contemporary art.
This section seeks to highlight the production of contemporary artists, delving into the work of one or two artists selected by each gallery. It is the perfect opportunity for visitors to interact more deeply and personally with the artists.
This year, Pinta Miami once again focuses on presenting special projects that, without a commercial purpose, aim to show fair visitors the current trends, issues, and aesthetics in the region such as the Amazon, textiles, community practices, among others. Under the curation of Felix Suazo, three special projects are presented in different areas of the venue.
