The award aims to promote the production of visual arts from the continent and regional fairs among international collectors. During 2023, the fairs where the pre-selection took place were SP Arte, São Paulo; Pinta PArC, Lima; arteBA, Buenos Aires; and ArtBo, Bogotá. The acquisition was selected and announced at Pinta Miami 2023. EFG acquired a representative artwork from the winning artist, which became part of the EFG Capital collection in Miami.
