Bio
Eduardo Mac Entyre (1929-2014) was a prominent Argentine artist, recognized for his contribution to geometric abstract art and generative art. Throughout his career, he moved through figurative painting, Neo-Impressionism, Cubism, and Constructivism. He was one of the leading figures of Neo-Abstraction in the 1960s. He co-founded the generative art movement, creating optical effects with static paintings. He held over 50 solo exhibitions, and his work is held in international museums such as the MoMA and the Guggenheim in New York, the MALBA, the MNBA, and in private collections. He received numerous awards, including the UNESCO First Prize (1961) and the National Painting Prize (1966). His work, characterized by geometric variations and dynamic colors, explores new forms through painting, drawing, and materials such as acrylic and screen printing.
