Statement

Emancipated from its condition as fuel, charcoal and pigments preserve both their vegetal vestige and the memory of fire. Exploration of a brittle and fragmentary sediment, the entirety of its fragments brings to life primitive faces and silhouettes in which we recognize the mythical dimension of monumental sculpture, a forest of strange trees and juxtaposed visions of an imprecise region within a united continent by the proportion of their asymmetries and the root that fertilizes and nourishes them.
